Best Realistic Ghosts?
View Discussions
Hi guys. New to the garage (and to home haunting) and looking for some tips!
I’m planning on starting some headstone foam carving for a small front yard cemetery (which will hopefully expand as the years go by), but I’d also like to add some realistic, full-scale ghosts. I’ve found a few ideas online, but I’m wondering which of these you all think work and look best, as well as which hold up over time to weather, etc.
My main goals:
– Classy, spooky, somewhat realistic look
– Holds up to weather OK
– Can either be free-standing or “floating” (we’ve got tons of huge oaks all over the yard)
I’m looking into both chicken wire as well as cheese cloth designs (photos below), but am open to other ideas. So far, I’ve got a half dozen foam mannequin heads on order. I’ve also found a photo of some death-like figures that I LOVE, but I’m not sure how to go about creating the look (photo included below). I guess that looks like some sort of heavy tarp draped over a head and frame, but I’m not sure how that tarp would stay put or keep its shape. Any ideas?
